How Tim measures, sets, and seals each window
Once a frame checks out sound, Tim sets an insert window inside the existing opening, measured tight against what is already there so the new unit sits square without disturbing the exterior trim around it.
When a frame shows real damage, the job goes full frame instead: the old frame comes out down to the rough opening, and the new window gets set, shimmed level and plumb, and fastened directly to the framing the way it should have been the first time.
Every window, insert or full frame, gets insulated around the perimeter before the interior trim goes back on, then sealed on the exterior so wind and water cannot find the same gap that let the old window fail in the first place. The exterior trim is finished in aluminum cap so the wood underneath stays protected going forward.

Warranty coverage and when it is worth a call
