Most roofs go off and back on in one day. Siding and window jobs are scheduled around the material lead time and the weather.
Why there is no roof cost calculator here
A lot of sites will hand you a slider and a number before anyone has seen the house. Tim will not do that here, because a fair price actually depends on things a calculator cannot see: how many squares the roof measures, how many layers of old shingle are already on it, the pitch, whether the decking underneath is sound once it is opened up, how many chimneys and valleys have to be flashed, and whether the attic is ventilated well enough to keep the new roof dry from the inside.
The same is true for siding and windows: what is behind the old material changes the job. That is why Tim measures every roof, siding job and window in person before a price goes on paper, the same process described on the roofing and siding pages. A guessed number that changes once the crew arrives is worse than no number at all.
